I just loaded MIDI-OX and I am using Win7 64b using my creative X-FI Fatality edition sound card MIDI ports. My unit is a GSP-2101LE Artist Upgrade 3.00.00.A.

My question is: I want to edit a sysEx file then load it to a particular program number on my GSP-2101 unit. How do I edit the sysEx file in MIDI-OX so it can go to a specified program number I would like to choose? Some of the files I am trying to load are overwriting a program number I don't want to overwrite when I load them. The particular file I am trying to load seems to have been pre-coded to overwrite program 100 on my unit. I wanted it to be program 25, etc...Any suggestions would be great.

Why not use GSP 2101 patch dumper?

F0 00 00 10 00 41 42 00 00 - Program 1
F0 00 00 10 00 41 42 00 18 - Program 25
F0 00 00 10 00 41 42 00 63 - Program 100

Thanks for the suggestion Sonus. I downloaded that and it seams to have a way to reassign the program number easily. Just wondering does MIDI-Ox not have this function?

MIDI-OX isn't a patch editor, every device has its own system exclusive midi implementation.
You could change program numbers in SysEx Scratchpad, apparently there's no checksum(?)

Monitoring of patch dumper data can be done by using MIDI-Yoke:
F0 00 00 10 00 41 22 00 00 F7 - Reload factory default programs

Please backup all your programs before doing dumps(!)
