Title: Windows 10 Version 1607 and MIDI-OX not working... Post by FlavioB on Nov 2nd, 2016, 2:08pm Hi there. I've unadvertendly updated to Windows 10 Version 1607 and now MIDI-OX doesn't play well anymore with my two MOTU MIDI Express 128 I rebooted and unplugged/replugged them both: no way to get MIDI out! Can somebody help? Presumably the USB mapping has been "recalculated" :-/ I see some data coming in and going out from other ports... Is there any way to somehow *lock* where Windows sees its MIDI Express 128 units? Thanks, Flavio. |

Title: Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 and MIDI-OX not workin Post by FlavioB on Nov 2nd, 2016, 2:31pm OK - I can confirm that Windows "inverted" my #1 unit with #2 - thus my port mappings aren't working anymore. Any help on this (like *locking* as asked before) will be appreciated! Thanks, Flavio. |

Title: Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 and MIDI-OX not workin Post by Jamie OConnell on Nov 2nd, 2016, 9:02pm I have heard of trouble working with multiple MOTU MIDI devices before. The problem is likely with Windows, unfortunately. Windows sometimes will renumber MIDI devices on a reboot or hot-swapping of USB devices. I certainly hope MOTU names each device uniquely? One thing you could try is to manually modify the MIDI-OX profile settings in the registry. * Close MIDI-OX * Go to: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MIDI-OX\MIDI-OX 32\Profile 1\MIDI Devices" * Rename value In1 to InX, In2 to In1, then InX to In2 (or wherever the MOTU device is). * Similarly: Out1 to OutX, Out2 to Out1, OutX to Out2 (or wherever) * Restart MIDI-OX |
