Trying to send some .syx patches (made with an earlier version of the firmware, I have the most recent, ..no backwards compatibility). MidiOX is showing the syx as sending OK, however when I power up the BSII, there is no patch change whatsoever, as if they did not get sent at all

Any info I need to send? Logs? thank you for any help!

Hi
If I understand you correctly you have some patches for the BassStation II created with an earlier version of the BSII's firmware.
If Novation say that the firmware is not backward compatible then you can't load the sysex.

You will have to fix / change the sysex to make it compatible.
You will need the sysex spec for both the original firmware and the sysex spec for the firmware currently loaded and carefully see what is different between them and either write a program that takes the old sysex and converts it to the new sysex or you will have to change each patch byte by byte.
