Title: Loading SysEx files to microkorg Post by aaanicholls on Jul 13th, 2020, 11:52pm Hello I am trying to add a .syx file to my microkorg Followed these instructions http://i.korg.com/uploads/Support/SysExMIDIOX_634750967429990000.pdf Everything seems to work fine, except when I click the "Send SysEx" in the Command Window drop down, it loads the file as in the instructions in the PDF, but the microkorg never receives the file. I can also see the Midi stop being send view led on my midi interface. The microkorg screen never flashing indicating it is receiving Midi I have been able to load patches via the microkorg sound editor app with the exact same setup, so I think it is related to the program, possibly the file I was having an issue with my buffer size but was instructed elsewhere to change both the input and output to 64 and 2 |

Title: Re: Loading SysEx files to microkorg Post by Breath on Jul 15th, 2020, 10:14pm Had a look at the pdf and there is a problem. So lets go through setting up MidiOx 1. Make sure you can see The 'Monitor-Input' and 'Monitor -Output' windows If the 'Monitor-Output' window fills the Midi-Ox window (as it is in the pdf) click on the middle button in the second row of 3 buttons on the top right. Go to View / Input Monitor... menu option if the 'Monitor-Input' window is not visible Go to View / Port Routings... menu option if the 'Midi Port Routings' window is not visible 2. Rearrange and re-size the windows. MidiOx will remember them. Here is my standard setup... http://www.bwalk.com.au/pub/MidiOx%20Setup.jpg It looks like you have set up your Midi interface to the Korg 3. All Midi from MidiOx (this includes the sysex from a file) comes out through a Midi port called "Midi-Ox Event Port" down the bottom on the left in the Midi Port Routing window. Connect this to the Midi output on the right that is connected to the Korg's input. Now try your transfer. All the best Royce |
