Title: HELP! "There are no midi input devices." Post by Kyle_Sullivan on Nov 15th, 2020, 11:55pm Hi There, I am trying to get my midi keyboards working on a new laptop. They aren't being picked up by midi-ox, ableton, or a midi-capable online piano that I tried to triple check. The keyboards are Akai MPK Mini and M-Audio Keystation 49es. They both work with my older laptop and desktop computer. I have tried different ports, cables, uninstalling them from the device manager, and uninstalling the usb serial bus controller drivers with no progress. So, they do show up in the device manager but just are not being detected as midi for some reason. Does anyone have any suggestions or troubleshooting ideas? I am pretty much at the end of my ideas. Best, |

Title: Re: HELP! "There are no midi input devices.&a Post by Breath on Nov 21st, 2020, 11:41pm Hi Kyle It sounds like Windows is the problem. I assume you are using Win 10. What release version? This link might help https://windowsreport.com/install-midi-drivers-pc/ Win 10 has a reputation for causing Midi problems. That is why I still use Win7 64. All the best Royce |
