Title: Can I use Midiox to snoop the sysex of another app

I want to see the sysex command another application is sending to my synth, in order to debug that application.

I thought I could used Midiox as a midi analyzer for that, but I'm not able to make that work.

Do I need Midiyoke for this? Does Midiyoke even work on Windows 11 Pro?

Hi,
yes you need MidiOx with MidiYoke or loopMidi (might be better for Win11)
So...
Install loopMIDI.
Start you application and make the Midi output 'loopMIDI Port'
Start MidiOx and goto menu Options / Midi Devices and select 'loopMIDI Port' as a Midi Input an press OK

Now when you application outputs the sysex into loopMidi Port it will be displayed in MidiOx.

Is loop midi from the same author of midiox? I haven't heard of it before

No, Midi Yoke is the 32bit driver written by Jamie OConnell who also wrote MidiOx.

LoopMIDI is similar to MidiYoke, but there is a 32 and a 64bit version of loopMIDI to match your version of Windows.
loopMIDI is by Tobias Erichsen who is a much respected member of the Midi community.
He even has his own Sysex Manufacturer number 00H 20H 77H
