I have 5 synths, 2 FX processors, digital mixer with MIDI I/O. So, 8 MIDI devices.
To exclude any MIDI loop backs i use one MIDI-OX virtual port for input and one for output. Thus, 8 x 2 = 16 (All) MIDI-OX virtual ports are in usage.
But also i have and wanna communicate with other devices via OX.

Is it possible?

Yes. There will soon be a 64 port version of MIDI Yoke. I first need to update MIDI-OX (there is a beta now) to handle more ports. The beta MIDI-OX supports up to 128 MIDI devices (ports).

Windows XP supports up to 10 MIDI Drivers. Each driver can present as many ports as it wishes (can handle).

In the mean time you might install additional virtual midi drivers as for example

- LoopBe
- Maple Midi Driver

which both together can give you at least 5 more midi inputs and outputs.

Jamie OConnell recently sent me a copy of Yoke's new version.
On my XP 32-bit it works just fine with 20 virtual ports. Really, no new issues.

Currently I am using windows 7 version so I wanted to know will this MIDI ports work well with it and how many ports will it support?
