A MIDI-OX Public Beta test has just been initiated.  The current Beta version is 7.0.2.372.  Get it from the web-site front page. Please report any bugs, problems comments, etc. to this part of the forum.  Thanks! and enjoy Cheesy.

I'll ask it before anyone else.  Any chance of a 64 bit MIDI Yoke for Windows7? Grin  (Ideally a 32/64 bit driver to support routing between both address spaces.)

Installed.  My "pinned" Start Menu entry needed removing and setting up again but no big deal.  Ran, detected MIDI ports, detected incoming MIDI note.  More tests later! Smiley

Hey Peter,
I have compiled a 64 bit MIDI Yoke, but I can't get Win 7 x64 to load it!  They've removed all the old methods for installing non-hardware drivers  Undecided.  I have tried all sorts of old backdoors with changing registry settings - turned off UAC etc., but no luck.

If I ever get it to load, the 32 bit version will be unecessary as Windows handles routing of the multimedia stuff between address spaces and thunking.

I have been going over all the docs and such, but they really do not seem to support virtual drivers anymore -- a driver has to have PnP hardware behind it.  It seems like the only other option might be a complete re-write to make it look like a 'recordable' soft-synth.  Of course, then it would only work with direct music capable devices, and I have a feeling that many sequencers and other MIDI programs don't handle that so well.

The other problem is a complete shortage of free time, as we are in crunch mode for SONAR (as usual).

Boo.  MS has really dropped the ball on this one...

Are folks able to get the 32 bit version of Win 7 to load 32 bit MIDI Yoke?  And if so, how?
