Hi, I have recently installed Win 7 32 bit on a machine that had been running Midiox on Win xp with no problems but now I cannot get midiox events to pass through the following midi port configuration. Under midi devices panel- Midi input - Cakewalk USB interface in Midi output - Cakewalk USB interface out Port mapping - Cakewalk USB out with midi icon showing green but the midiox event port below it is dark. This is same arrangement that I had on Win xp Also have checked the port routing under route 66 icon, Cakewalk in and out is connected and the midiox event port shows connected to the Cakewalk output port. Not having any problem passing midi in to midi out signals on the cakewalk USB interface. Any help is appreciated Stevehdj

Hi Steve, I have never seen MidiOx Event Port 'Dark'. Even with no devices installed the Event Port look the same DIN socket. I'm not sure what you mean. What is not working? Can you connect the Event Port to your USB interface? If you can... View /Control Panel Press the SEND button. Can you see data in the Monitor - Output? All the best Royce

Hi Royce Thanks for the reply Since posting message I have been able to get midiox events to pass to the cakewalk output however they are not consistent with the mapping that I have created. Also when I look at the midi activity monitor I can see activity on the channels for both Cakewalk in and out ports but the midiox event port does not respond which seems very strange. The mapping translates note on from my organ pedal board (Ch 3) to program change going to Roland BK7M (CH 10) to control style variations. On the bottom right of midiox screen on the info bar I have the REC, SYS and MAP buttons set to on, not sure if this is correct or perhaps causing problem. Wondering too could this be an issue with driver for either USB interface or Midiox. I do not have any other inputs on and no other programs or DAW open. Seems very strange as this is exact same setup that worked fine when on XP. Note at home now but I will try your suggestion on send button tonite. I can advise that I do have midiox on my PC at work and with just using PC keyboard I am able to generate a midiox event seen in the monitor . Thanks again

Hi Royce After a long tedious night I now have the mapping working as expected, I found that by setting pedal velocity between 20-120 stopped any problems with inconsistent transmission to output port. I expect there may have been some pedal bounce being picked up when having velocity set for any value. Still one strange item left, when looking at midiox events in the channel activity screen the it still does not show the midiox channel activating on key (pedal) stroke. Tried with many settings and different input channels but no response. Also Icon still not lit up in the port setting view. Strange but al least I am good to go thanks for your help. Stevehdj
