Translating Windows Volume to MIDI CC?

Hey! I am looking for a solution. Basically, i need an utility, which will be active in the background, will be monitoring windows system volume (on the device currently selected as default sound device) and will translate changes done to the system volume level to a Controller value change at specified MIDI device. So, when i set the volume in the system tray to, say, 0%, the utility sees it and sends MIDI Controller Change, "Controller Number = Some_Number, Value = 0" to a MIDI device (set in the options of this utility). When i set the volume to 100% it sends "Controller Number = Some_Number, Value = 127". Is it possible to do with MIDI-OX?

Hi that's an interesting problem. You might be able to do that with a script in MidiOx , but if you were going to that trouble, I would write a windows program to do it. Bome's Midi converter might do it, but I think it will have to be the Pro version as I don't think the free version will do it. All the best Royce
