I had a problem trying to install MidiYoke on Windows 8. I resolved it by right clicking on the install file and clicking on "Troubleshoot Compatibility." From there it's pretty straight forward getting it installed.

MIDI Yoke NT 1.75 successfully installed from .msi under win 8.
MIDI-OX 7.0.2 installed from .exe under win 8.
I used the suggested compatibility settings, win 8 suggested yoke to use compatibility mode "previous version of windows" while for ox it preferred xp sp3.
