Win98 not allowing other programs to run maximized

I have this problem. I use MIDI-OX in the connection with MIDI-YOKE to deliver MIDI signals among different programs in Computer. What happens on WIn98 is that when the MIDI-OX is running and is NOT minimized (is in normal or maximized view) it does not allow other programs to run. I.E. The MIDI signals are apparently not delivered among applications. As soon as I MINIMIZE the MIDI-OX, it starts functioning again well, i.e. it filters the signals appropriately and via MIDI-Yoke these are delivered to the right application (Timidity in my case) which plays them right.

Your report doesn't sound right. You name one program, Timidity, and I don't know what that is? Are there any other programs you have that have this problem? Is it possible that Timidity won't play unless it is the active, foreground, program (I know of some other apps that have this limitation)? Try bringing Timidity to the foreground with MIDI-OX not minimized. Does it work?
