I am trying to update my firmware for the BCF2000. I used the Behringer update utility tool and got the error- Welcome to the BC-Update Utility Please select a file to upload. BCF2000 update file selected. Checking midi ports... No Suitable Device found! Please choose another file using the Open button or connect an appropriate device and press the RESCAN button. I have tried both USB connection and MIDI connection thru my tascam US-122. They refered me to midi-ox. I am not sure how to make this program work. Please help! Thanks

Install MIDI-OX: It can show you whether or not your MIDI devices can be seen by other Multimedia programs. Launch MIDI-OX and open Options | MIDI Devices... You MIDI devices will be listed. If they are not, you have a MIDI driver problem with the US-122 that you need to resolve with Tascam first.

The Behringer software is crap. I had to send the firmware update through MIDI-OX to my BCR2000. It worked like a charm on the first try. You need to connect the MIDI-OX Event Port to the hardware port that your BCR is on by drawing a line between them in the MIDI Port Routing window, then send the sysex file over that connection.
