I think I already asked this question.
I want to use midibar as my midi player in
Mozilla.
It works, but there is one problem.
Midibar does NOT automatically start playing
when it is launched by clicking a link in Mozilla.
One has to manually click the start button.

Is there a way of achieving what i need?
Otherwise, I will put this on the wish list.

There is a simple way to do this, but it needs to be setup partly in MIDI-OX and partly in Windows Explorer.  In MIDI-OX you need to associate MIDI files with MIDIBar: Options | File Associations... Check '[x] MIDI Files (.mid) -- Associated with MIDIBar'.

The Explorer navigation instructions might vary slightly on different OS's.  The following is for XP...

Open an Explorer Window and choose: Tools | Folder Options... Choose the File Types tab.  Scroll down the Registered file types until you get to MID (MIDI-OX MIDI).  Select it and press [Advanced].

In the Edit file type dialog, there are two options: Open and Play.  Select Play and then press [Set Default].  Then Keep pressing OK until you're out.  Now files will Play by default instead of just open.

Alas, in Windows XP there is no Advanced button.
And I checked in the registry,
For mediaplayer the difference between opening and playing is
that there is a command line switch
/Play and /Open respectively,
and the registry entries use these options.

There is an advanced button in my version of Windows XP:

MIDI-OX uses the same technique (when registering MID for MIDIBar).  The Folder options control which one is the default for I.E. and Windows Explorer.

I had done the file association manually,
not using midiox
(One should follow instructions more carefully).
After doing that, I did not have an advanced button,
but a Restore button instead.
Installing midibar thoough the file associations in
midiox solved my problem.
Thanks.

Pehaps the documentation also could mention that midibar
understands the /Open and /Play
command line switches.

Good point.  I'll try to add that next go 'round.
