I can use midi-ox to monitor midi data between my PC and my keyboard, but how can I use it to see what midi data a software program is transmitting? Thanks

You need MidiYoke. MidiYoke is just an internal patch cord in the PC and appears as a Midi interface in programs. If you were running Sonar as your DAW connect up as follows... Sonar->MidiYoke1 output->MidiOx->Hardware Midi interface out Keyboard->Midi Interface->Sonar MidiOx will now display all the Midi messages going to and from your DAW. The keyboard data is read by both MidiOx and Sonar. The Sonar data is sent to MidiOx via MidiYoke and then out to the hardware interface with a connection in the Midi Port Routing in MidiOX All the best Royce
