Hello, new to all this. I have a Korg M1 and I can transfer and receive all patches to and from instrument to PC, but is there a way to transfer a single patch to the instrument without erasing the rest of the patches?

thanx. Undecided

To get a single patch you can open the sysex window in MidiOx  View/Sysex.
On the sysex window that pops up select Sysex/Receive manual dump.
On the M1 go to Global /Midi Data Dump and select Program then press [dump].
When the data counter stops on MidiOx press Done and save the file.

To call a program dump with MidiOx write F0 42 30 19 10 F7 in the Command Window.
Select the menu option Command Window/Send Receive Sysex. This will send the above get M1 program sysex and the wait for the M1 to reply.
Note Sysex must be enabled in the Global section of the M1 and the Pass Sysex in MidiOx (Options/ Pass Sysex) should be turned on.

To send the M1 data from the PC back to the M1 simply choose File / Send Sysex File... from the Sysex View dialog.

All the best
