Port Routing Save Issue

Hi, there.
First of all, thanks for this great program!!!
I have two APC mini controllers.
Options -> MIDI Devices..
I added two APC MINIs' input and output.
And save its preset to "TwoAPCmini" and profile too.
Exit MIDI-OX and restart it.
I always see only one APC mini's port.
How can I save my present MIDI port routing setting for next use??
I want to load my two APC mini port routing setting at the start.

Hi

"I always see only one APC mini's port. "
When you output data to this port from MidiOx, which APC reacts?
Is it always the same one?

When you press the pads do both APCs deliver note to the driver - if not close MidiOx and reconnect just one and see if it works the do it again with the other.
Both should, as least, work separately.

Do you have DAW and can it see 2 separate APCs ?

MidiOx asks Windows for all the Midi devices connected.
So if it is not displayed then Windows doesn't know about it.

"How can I save my present MIDI port routing setting for next use??

MidiOx automatically saves the routing and other settings when you close it and loads them when you restart.

All the best
Royce

Hi, this issue occurs in case of identical names...

The class compliant driver doesn't append an integer for devices with the same name.
Modifying the device FriendlyName registry value doesn't change the generic name.
When you close and restart MIDI-OX, only the first MIDI device will be activated.

Yes, what Sonus said is same to me. I also changed second APC mini's device name to "APC mini 2" through regedit.
But it didn't work.
I tried Bome translator demo. And Bome translator detects my two APC mini as APC mini and APC mini 2.
But MIDI-OX doesn't detect second one.
So whenever I start MIDI-OX, I have to add second APC mini in "MIDI Devices..." menu.

Yes, this is my issue too, with 2 of the same Korg nanoPADs. MidiOX does not distinguish them, thus cannot save routings for them.

Please consider updating this, I have not found another way around it!
