Paste or Merge *.oxm Maps?

Hi, I want to use several translation maps, some to be switched on and off by prg. changes (e.g. key transpose, drum sets, midi channel transpose..) others fix (e.g. velocity correction). As I also want to use different midi devices in parallel, I currently have to open lots of MIDI-Ox instances. Finally they are limited to 8. It would be very helpful, if in one instance more than one *.oxm file could be activated (e.g. by a paste function). A current (unconvenient) solution would be to add all kinds of possible combinations in the library (transp2_veloc5_ch2to4_drum1.oxm, etc.) . In that case an external merge of different *.oxm files from the library would save lots of manual typing. Or is there any way to convert *.oxm to text and back to do this with a standard text editor? Thanks

| Limited to 8? Why? Are you referring to the maximum number of MIDI Yoke ports? Quote:It would be very helpful, if in one instance more than one *.oxm file could be activated (e.g. by a paste function). |
| Have you overlooked the fact you can assign a .oxm map to each input - output port routing in Port Mapping? You may not even need to use multiple instances at all if you set your routings up. Quote:Or is there any way to convert *.oxm to text and back to do this with a standard text editor? |
| Maps can be saved and loaded as .txm (text map) files as well as .oxm. Text maps can be edited with any text editor and combined or split.

| Yes; every instance needs at least one connection which cost one midi-yoke. Quote:Have you overlooked the fact you can assign a .oxm map to each input - output port routing in Port Mapping? You may not even need to use multiple instances at all if you set your routings up. |
| Yes, but there can be used only one map at a time (as far as I understood). If there is no further instance available (all yokes spent), the only way seems to be the combination-maps I mentioned. Quote:Maps can be saved and loaded as .txm (text map) files as well as .oxm. |
| The map to text feature is exactly what I meant. I should read the manual better. Great! Thanks
