Title: Re: MIDI > JOYSTICK (and mouse..) Post by lio on Feb 3rd, 2004, 3:43pm HI, in fact i wish to do the opposite, not convert a joystick to MIDI but convert MIDI to joystick , cause my MIDI hardware is sensors box (like movement ect..) and it could be cool used in some 3D games like a simple joystick or mouse. (i'll move in the game by moving my body) Is there a software or a driver that could do that ? Is it hard to modify an existing one ? my sensors reacts by CONTROL and note on. thx |

Title: Re: MIDI > JOYSTICK (and mouse..) Post by Peter L Jones on Feb 4th, 2004, 7:05pm Bome's MIDI translator does MIDI to PC keyboard mapping - you could start there and see whether they have plans to convert to more devices. (If I could get my head around Microsoft's WDM and if it didn't rely on Microsoft's proprietry build tools, I'd try building stuff like this - it's interesting to extend MIDI into new areas. But that's life under Windows, I guess.) |
