Script example using polling?

Are there any example scripts of using the polling method available? (or ones members of this forum have created)
 
What I'm wondering is what method calls I should use to poll with?  And how do I avoid have the connection point sink called?  Do I just omit the function prefix?

figured it out.. you want to use the mox.GetMidiInput() to poll with.
