Automatically detect MIDI device changes

I was wondering if it is possible to configure MIDI-OX to (automatically) detect when a device state changes and then reload based on that For example, if I unplug a keyboard whilst midi-ox is running and then plug it back in, midi-ox requires a restart before it will work again

Hi This has been asked before and I think about this every time I connect a piece of gear. I as far as I know MidiOx only scans for available ports at startup. There might be a way to trigger a call to check inputs and outputs via the scripting interface, but as MidiOx remembers the state of the application when you close it, I think cycling the startup would be the simplest thing to do. I don't think you would get 'much bang for your buck' for your effort with the scripting. All the best Royce
