Has anyone any experience of using Midi-OX as a sysex filer for the Yamaha Electone HS5 electronic organ. If I request sysex dumps I can see them returned but if I send them to the organ (using send sysex using the received file nothing seems to happen.

Hi I have a Electone HE8 and it seems to work OK . What sysex are you receiving / sending? You might like to have a look at this thread at a Yahoo Group (You may have to register first) as there is an editor being developed and a lot of it works OK on the HE series as well. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/hsowners/conversations/messages/1654 All the best Royce

Hi . I'm joining this forum and found your question. If you already can download syx files to your computer, then the procedure to upload a syx file is as follows: 1) in the sysex section of midiox , load the header to request reception of a file, and select the send command. 2) now load the data sysex file tou intend to send and again select the send command. The headers for emission or reception of files are included in the midi specs of the Hs manual , page 80 or so, with oaragraph no. 3 specific models messages, only be sure to use 16h for the HS5.
